FDCC is an Australian-based non-denominational non-Government Organisation. It operates the Mekhala House orphanage located in Prey Veng, a rural province of Cambodia. Mekhala House began operation in October 2005 based on an identified need to provide assistance to orphaned and under-privileged girls in the region. Since that time Mekhala House has grown to be a home for 42 girls and 3 male siblings. It also provides employment for 11 permanent full-time staff.
