Objectives of FDCC

Provide a home for girls (and male siblings) who are orphaned or at risk

Create opportunity to improve children’s lives by providing:
- a safe and caring environment in which to grow; and
- nutritional food, medical care, education and emotional support;

Provide the children with the necessary skills to:
- obtain employment that is both financially sustaining and rewarding;
- establish meaningful and respectful relationships with members of the Cambodian community;
- make a positive contribution to the development of their community; and
- develop independent decision-making;

To encourage Cambodian females to learn and develop leadership skills within their community;

Demonstrate awareness and respect for culturally appropriate behaviours;

Create employment opportunities for local, rural Cambodians;

Establish sustainable development programmes that directly benefit the local Cambodian communities;

Provide skills training to Cambodians which give them greater empowerment over their lives.
